  • Danfoss’ CO2 calculation tool is an online calculator that helps you to evaluate how much energy and CO2 emissions can be saved by choosing CO2 as a secondary refrigerant instead of traditional brine.

    This online calculator for CO2 will give you a good indication on energy savings as well as the reduction of the carbon footprint by replacing water-based brine systems. Our research has shown that up to 2,500 tons CO2 emissions can be saved by using CO2 on a 500 kW industrial refrigeration system over 15 years lifetime. 20% energy savings can be achieved with CO2 secondary systems 500 kW at 0°C room temperature. With the CO2 calculating tool you can calculate your own savings very by only entering 3 parameters: air temperature, cooling capacity and electricity costs.
