AKV are electric expansion valves designed for refrigeration plants preserving freshness and taste of frozen food. The winning valve was produced in Denmark in the year 2000 as number 500 in the AKV-series. The valve travelled to China and was installed in a store in Shanghai, and 14 years after the valve joined the competition “Finding the oldest AKV” initiated by Danfoss. At the award ceremony, President of Danfoss in China Kjeld Stærk presented the award to CP Lotus Shanghai Shangnan Lu Store. CP Lotus is a loyal and long-term Danfoss business partner with 74 stores and seven distribution centers in 30 cities across 14 different Chinese provinces and municipalities. Zheng Keda, Manager of the Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Division at CP Lotus commented: “As an enterprise with social responsibility, our business is built on customer value and trust. Food Safety is the most concerned issue of the public, and it is a top priority in our daily management work. Especially in food refrigeration, even tiny temperature fluctuation may affect its freshness and taste, which in turn gives high equipment requirements. Meanwhile, we need to take operation convenience and maintenance time into consideration. That’s why we are so critical when choosing equipment.” Shen Wei, Manager of the Engineering Division at CP Lotus agreed and added: “As a profit-making enterprise, the cost is also a sensitive topic. Stable operation is important, for sure, but the equipment’s energy efficiency is sounder when it comes to the buying decision. Based on many years’ of cooperation, Danfoss controls and valve products display excellent performance and meet all requirements. Danfoss is a reliable partner CP Lotus can trust.”
Now, thanks to a cooperation between Danfoss and Sønderborg District Heating, the Danish supermarket chain SuperBrugsen in Høruphav on the island of Als, Denmark, is also a district heating supplier. Residents living near SuperBrugsen have their district heating supplied from the recovered surplus heat from the cooling system in SuperBrugsen, and thereby help contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
