Any refrigeration system may suddenly break down, oftentimes due to debris, water or acid in the system causing compressor failure, stuck valves or plugged TXVs. Filter driers serve as protection against problems like these that may impede system performance potentially resulting in spoiled goods and dissatisfied customers. Even so, the advantages of using high performing filter driers are often overlooked when the refrigeration unit is configured. Most attention is being paid to compressors, condensers and other vital components of the unit, while filter driers are in reality just as important to maintain reliable system performance and to prevent contamination of the refrigeration system.
